MegaPeel microdermabrasion machines are manufactured in the United States by DermaMed, a company that has produced and distributed surgical and medical equipment for 20 years. Mega Peel machines are used by beauty salons and dermatology cabinets across the US, Canada and Europe. The company has trade-in programs (they buy your old dermabrasion machine to help you upgrade) and organizes microdermabrasion seminars and tradeshows.
The MegaPeel microdermabrasion machine is available in three models, all designed in 1997 for physicians and aestheticians in spas and salons. All models are FDA registered.
The technical details for each of these models are not published on the presentation site but are available upon request. What we do know about the three MegaPeel systems is this:
The DermaNed Skincare product line is designed to complement the Mega Peel microdermabrasion machines. It can be used before and after treatments, chemical peels or laser treatments. What I like most about this skin care line is that it's available in four skin condition-specific daily routine kits:
Aside from microderm machines and the pre and post care products, DermaMed USA also manufactures a Vitamin A treatment called Precision Peel. It is designed as an enhancer for micro dermabrasion results, but can also be used as an effective peel on its own.
For price information you need to contact DermaMed directly. As indication, I found a brand new MegaPeel Platinum machine on eBay with price indication of $11,000.

A: Better-looking skin needs elasticity and density, both achievable through skin cell renewal. Microdermabrastion cream abrades the outermost skin layer and stimulates skin renewal. An effective skin renewal process results in increased elasticity and density. Moreover, the vacuum function of the microderm abrasian equipment sucks up dirt and hardened oil to reveal an even skin texture and tone.
A: Best results are obtained after 6 to 12 professional sessions (depending on your expectations and severity of the skin imperfections), respectively one month of use for a OTC microdermabrasian kit.
A: Self derma microabrasion tools can be used on your body as long as it's especially formulated as a body microderm kit. Using a face microdermabrasion product on your body will not have the desired result because it's much too mild to have a significant effect on your body. Dermatologist-performed micro skin abrasion is suitable for use on the body except for the feet where the skin is too thin.
A: Redness following cosmetic microderm abrasion fades in a few hours after the procedure.
A: Microdermabration sets stimulates collagen growth which is why it's effective on enlarged pores. Collagen production is stimulated through skin exfoliation. Furthermore, the vacuum function of most micro derma abrasion tools sucks out hardened oil, dust and other dirt which may clog your pores. This way, the oil in the glands can again reach the surface of your skin and your pores can return to their natural shape and size.
A: Men can have microbrasion just as women can. The procedure and results are the same, there are no side effects or risks. The procedure and results are the same, there are no side effects or risks.
A: You should not have microdermal abrasion if you've used a alphahydroxy acid (AHA) product in the last 14 days because the two exfoliating procedures combined are too aggressive and might affect your skin's ability to recover. This applies to OTC kit and office treatment.
A: Derma microabrasion tool removes the outermost layer of the skin by sandblasting it with a jet of micro crystals. During the procedure, part of the pigment is physically eliminated and, at the same time, collagen production is stimulated so that your skin regains its density and elasticity. After 6 to 12 microdermabrasia treatments, the skin cells damaged by the sun are entirely removed and new, healthy skin cells take their place.
A: Home microderm abrasions product is appropriate for all skin colors (including Asian skin ) because this procedure sandblasts only the outermost skin layer which is made of dead skin cells. There's no damage to live tissue which could cause scarring or severe irritation. The exfoliation process involved in specialist microderm abrasions helps the skin renew itself quicker and more effectively.
A: Compared to other non-surgical procedures, clinic micro dermabration is the least expensive skin rejuvenation procedure. For example, micro derm abrasion kits cost between $15 and $200, depending on contents and brand. Kits that include a rotating hand-held device designed to massage the crystal cream onto your face are the most expensive (and the most effective). The price of a single micro dermabration treatment at a beauty salon or spa varies between $75 and $200. One full face session at a surgeon or dermatologist office costs somewhere between $100 and $300, not including initial consultation fees (which may cost an additional $150). You may need an average of 9 treatments and 4 maintenance sessions for best results which makes a full micro derma brasion treatment cost around $1,600 per year.
