Paradise Point is a resort which includes: spa services, hotel, wedding and conference facilities. Micro derm abrasion is offered as part of their facial care line. The Bella Dermabrasion costs as follows:
A: Microderma abrasion is safe for young women (and men) of all skin types but most doctors recommend it for girls aged 14 and older, mainly because they want to make sure that all major hormonal changes are over and the results of the procedure are as good as they can be.
A: Stretch marks appear on your skin as uneven skin tone and texture. By exfoliating the outermost layer of the skin, cosmetic microderm abrasion system evens out skin tone and texture, thus reducing or totally removing stretchmarks.
A: Some doctors say that home macrodermabrasion can work on mild acne without any risk of irritation or break-outs. There are a few studies published online that show that micro dermabration can be an effective treatment for mild acne. Other specialists recommend against using microdermabrasions as acne treatment, especially on moderate or severe acne. Acne makes the skin more sensitive and prone to breakouts and exfoliation can cause severe scarring and additional inflammation.
A: One of the main benefits of microderma abrasion is how easy it is to prepare for treatment. Simply have your face thoroughly cleaned for treatment. Don't forget to place goggles over your eyes to protect them from stray micro crystals. Also avoid smoking, sunbathing and waxing 14 days before the treatment and stop using Retin-A, Renova, Differin or any glycolic acid products that you may be applying on regular basis.
A: Psoriasis patients should not have micro abrasion This procedures is somewhat invasive to the skin (any skin rejuvenation treatment is to some extent) and can worsen their condition. This applies to home microdermasion as well, despite its mild effect.
A: Microdermation is not painful. Some patients report a tingling sensation during the procedure and a mild sunburn-like feel after treatment, but there has been no evidence of pain involved in having microderm abrasions.
A: Derma microabrasion system is effective on hyper pigmentation. The micro-crystal flow abrades the top layer of the skin where unevenly pigmented skin cells are stuck. Several doctor-performed microderm abrasions are required to even out skin tone and get rid of hyper pigmentation.
A: One major benefit is the minimum risks and side effects associated with microdermabarasion Unlike dermabrasion or laser skin resurfacing, microdermabasion takes no more than 30-60 minutes and can be successfully used on the face as well as the body (neck, chest, back and hands). If time or money is an issue, the procedure is also available as a cheap home micro dermabrasion set (well known brands include Neutrogena, Mary Kay, L'Oreal, Oil of Olay, Homedics, etc). It removes only the very top skin layer which is why it's considered to be the least invasive cosmetic procedure. It doesn't require anesthesia and has virtually no down time after treatment. It can be performed on all skin types and colors without risks and side effects.
A: By resurfacing the top layer of the skin, home microderma does make a difference. It can help fight mild acne, acne scarring, clogged and enlarged pores, age and sun spots, stretch marks, freckles, and fine lines, tired and dull skin. More severe skin imperfections require more invasive procedures like laser or chemical peeling. Over The Counter micro derma abrasion is also not as effective as spa microdermabarasion.
A: Microdermal abrasion is not recommended if you've had chemical peeling (glycolic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, TCA, Jessner or any other kind of peel) in the last 14 days because the two exfoliating procedures combined are too aggressive and might affect your skin's ability to recover. This applies to personal kits and dermatologist-performed treatment.
